On 7th march 2015, I am still human made a lot of people’s day brighter by visiting an old age home in chandigarh. The people there was overjoyed with the new company and had smiles spread acroos their faces as they told us their stories, experiences and gave us just friendly advices. They with their big hearts, welcomed us and made us feel loved even though we had gone to do the exact opposite. What we all felt was a warmth that usually occurs from a good conversation, some excitement and heart touching moments. By the time we left , we felt a glow inside of us and hopefully also let the old age home after spreading a little happiness and warmth into the hearts of the people there.
On 30thjune 2015, we had two rider make their way to ladakh on their bikes. The purpose of this trip was to spread awareness about women empowerment and education in these areas which have somewhat isolated from the rest of the world. We wanted the development that the rest of India is enjoying , to also make it way to these areas. The main purpose for creating awareness about women empowerment and education was to make sure that women realised their potential and did not take injustice from anyone anymore. We tried our best to create awareness and the trip would be all worth it, even if we have made a difference in only one life.
7th November 2015 –
‘Sharing is caring’ is an overused saying and some say it may even be overrated. However, only those people who truly share with others know the true essence of this phrase. Parting and giving away things which you no longer require or you may think it of being put to better use by someone else gives you more joy and satisfaction than keeping that thing with yourself, no matter how dear it maybe. Such a noble act was showcased by the Kidzee School in Panchkula, who under the guidance and leadership of the centre head of Kidzee, Panchkula Mrs RituChaudhary and in collaboration with the team of I Am Still Human, organised a day with the underprivileged children of the area on the day of Diwali that was 7th November 2015. The students, teachers and principal of the school spent the entire day with the children and distributed sweets and all the other useable items that could come in handy to those children. This self-righteous effort and noble deed brought a smile across the faces of several children. This was truly a laudable act on behalf of the management and students of Kidzee School, Panchkula and the team of I Am Still Human.
26th July 2015 – Human beings often think that they can get away with many things, and especially atrocities against those things or creatures that do not have a voice of their own to be heard. Something very strikingly similar occurred in Kerala, when about 40 dogs in the district of Kannur were poisoned and dumped and were left to rot and be infested by flies and insects. Such an outrageous act of animal cruelty sent shock waves around the country and a suit was filed under Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960. All animal and especially dog lovers around the country sought to roads and rallies to express their vehement chagrin and disgust against such an incident that took place in a literate and developed state like Kerala. The team of I Am Still Human played a major role in bringing about awareness regarding this incident and garnering the support of masses in the tricity regarding atrocities against animals by organising a candle march in Sukhana Lake, on 26th July 2015 around six in the evening, one day after this incident took place in the state of Kerala. IASH was very delighted with the response they received at the candle march as many people turned up and stood in solidarity in support of a noble cause, standing up for those beings who sit down for us.
- 14 November 2015 – Small acts of kindness often turn into big smiles of happiness. It is rightly believed that one person independently cannot help everyone, but every single one can come together and contribute to help at least someone. Such generous and altruistic gestures have been shown on more than one occasion by I Am Still Human when our Moradabad team, under the leadership of AbhishekGangwar and G S Sports Company distributed and gave away clothes to the poor and needy at the Moradabad railway station. These efforts were lauded and recognised by the media also, giving a boost to the team of I Am Still Human to strive for further charity and public-spiritedness.
