Our Mission

IASH MISSION STATEMENT

We aim to empower and encourage youth for active participation in policymaking and ensure good governance. Ensuring health security, promotion of education for all, along eradication of poverty and food scarcity has been our core agendas. Moreover, we aspire towards creating a socially equitable society and promote practices to ensure a sustainable future.

We have taken upon ourselves the responsibility to empower, educate, and aware women and ensure the protection of their rights as well as the promotion of opportunities so that their efforts could be well appreciated and acknowledged in society. Not only this, elevating the standards of living in rural areas especially of women along with making them aware of hygiene and providing adequate sanitization facilities have been our foremost priority area.  Active engagement and participation of women shall lead to the holistic development of society, thus contributing towards nation-building and ensuring a prosperous environment.

The youth of our country (aged 18-29 years) constitute around 22 percent of India’s population, which is more than 261 million people — larger than the population of many countries. We believe the idea of empowerment is all-inclusive and surpasses all limitations and thus, it is not just limited to social progress but includes economic empowerment, capacity building, and much more. ‘I Am Still Human’ is not only one of the very few youth-oriented NGOs around, but it also serves as a platform for the youth to join and gain exposure and vital information. The youth is filled with enthusiasm and our organization aims at ensuring that their enthusiasm is directed towards the right direction.

India being a developing economy has been greatly affected by the pandemic. The faltering economy had disproportionately affected rural areas, which house the majority of the country’s poor population. IASH is dedicated to alleviating poverty and food scarcity. We intend to accomplish this through well-planned projects in health, education, livelihood, and disaster management.

IASH strives towards realizing and achieving the highest respect for human rights. In the due process of same, since our inception, we have implemented a plethora of projects across India whereby we raised awareness in regard to fulfillment and enjoyment of rights among citizens. Such rights have been given to humankind by nature itself by virtue of being a human and IASH seeks to eliminate and prevent any such condition from developing that could result in a violation of human rights.

It is fair to say that by empowering the women and youth of our country, national development can be shaped in the perfect manner. Our goal is to eliminate the issues that continue to plague our society and contribute towards integrated development. Youth and women empowerment can help in alleviating poverty and accelerating the process of fostering social cohesion, economic success, and political stability in a democratic and inclusive manner.

In addition, the promotion of environmentally sound practices as well as fostering sustainable ideas for a  healthy and prosperous world has been on our agenda from the very first day. We have been working towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals as set out by the United Nations and for the attainment of the said goals we co-ordinate and engage with other Stakeholders viz., The Government, Civil Society, Scientific Community, Youth, Children, Industry et al. We not only seek to ascertain the problems existing but we strive towards finding a viable solution for comprehensive growth.

We, just as the United Nations believe that the young generation has the ability to make a change in the world. If our youth contributes their thoughts and energy to solving social problems, there is nothing that can stop us from making a difference. We seek to offer the youth the necessary resources, guidance, and a positive environment for them to realize their potential.

Our aim is to uphold our humanitarian values, culture, and ethics and put them to use for the betterment of our society. I Am Still Human (IASH) is a youth-centric organization that was established on 23rd February 2015 with the vision of empowering the youth and redirecting their energies in ways, which shall help society to progress holistically. IASH began its journey with three flagship projects namely- Project Shaurya (Welfare of the Veterans, Martyr Families, Health and Welfare Projects), Project Siddhi (Welfare of Underprivileged Section of Society), and Project Kadam (Women Empowerment). We aim to empower and encourage youth for active participation in policymaking and ensure good governance. Ensuring health security, promotion of education for all, along eradication of poverty and food scarcity has been our core agendas.
